kimani rose is a multidimensional multilingual artist who defines poetry as her first language. she says, “everything I write feels like bleeding, feels like ripping myself apart and sewing myself back together with literal thread. It’s the thing that makes me free.”

of her creations as a whole, she describes them as something for people to see themselves in, so we can affirm the feeling that we aren’t alone in our emotions and experiences, and partly a vehicle for the transformative growth we seek.
